ECHO AmeriCorps Members provide service to K-adult; developing programs that focus on academic support, literacy, fitness, adult and youth nutrition, GED and job skills.  We partner with multiple organizations that focus on keeping kids in school, healthy lifestyles and working towards a brighter future!

Service Sites

Aging Partners, Lincoln
The AmeriCorps Member provides programming and support to address “living with chronic illness”, fitness and healthy lifesyles. Priority focus is with senior adults.

Airpark West Recreation, Lincoln
The AmeriCorps Member provides literacy support at Arnold Elementary and at the CLC (Community Learning Center) along with providing fitness and nutrition programs at the recreation center.  Priority focus is with K-5.

Asian Community and Cultural Center, Lincoln
The AmeriCorps Member provides literacy and citizenship education to adults along with planning and implementing cultural events in the community. Priority focus is with adults.

Belmont Recreation Center, Lincoln
AmeriCorps Members provide academic and literacy support at Belmont Elementary and at the CLC along with academic, fitness and nutrition programs at the Recreation Center. Priority focus is with K-5.

Calvert Recreation Center, Lincoln
The AmeriCorps Member provided literacy and academic support at Calvert Elementary and at the CLC along with nutrition education and fitness at the Recreation Center. Priority focus is with K-5.

Community CROPS, Lincoln
AmeriCorps Members work with volunteers to develop and initiate community gardens in the Lincoln area. They manage volunteers both in the community and at the farm to increase organic gardening in the community along with educational components for new and returning gardeners. Priority focus is adults but some youth programs are beginning.

Easterday Recreation Center, Lincoln
The AmeriCorps Member recruits and manages volunteers to support both the day structure program for adults and the youth programs for participants with traumatic brain injury and developmental disabilities. Priority focus area is youth and adults.
