Nebraskans are giving people. In 2007, a comprehensive study conducted by the Corporation for National & Community Service found that Nebraska had the second highest volunteer rate in the nation and the greatest rate of volunteering in the Midwest.

There are three recognized Volunteer Centers in Nebraska facilitating the involvement of volunteers in their communities:
