Stand for the Silent Anti-Bullying Initiative
ServeNebraska applauds all who made the Stand for the Silent Global Youth Service Day initiative such a success. Through the leadership of the ServeNebraska InterCorps Council and support & commitment of entities throughout the state, more than 60,000 students and youth pledged to make a personal stand against bullying and released balloons marking this commitment.

Stand for the Silent is the signature event of ServeNebraska’s efforts for Global Youth Service Day. Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) is an annual day of service that mobilizes millions of children and youth to improve their communities each day of the year through service and service-learning.
In addition to Stand for the Silent, ServeNebraska is increasing involvement and leadership development of youth throughout the state through project funding. Applications for these projects were due March 2, 2012.
ServeNebraska is a Global Youth Service Day lead agency. Nationally, GYSD is coordinated by Youth Service America with support from State Farm.
