Celebrate America’s 250th anniversary by serving your community and strengthening Nebraska through volunteerism.

In 2026, the United States will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The America250 initiative invites individuals, organizations, and communities across the country to honor this milestone through service.

In Nebraska, volunteers, nonprofits, and community partners are encouraged to participate in local service projects and contribute to a nationwide effort to strengthen communities through civic engagement.
